Due to the limited number of bidders (the Town received one Bid) and the total amount of that bid, the Board of Selectman voted to not award the bid for the Lafayette Improvements Project. Our business community is already struggling due to the Covid-19 virus and together we believe that this is not the right time to start a construction project. After thoughtful consideration and discussion, a decision has been made to only move forward with the milling and paving of this project area. DPW is coordinating with their paving contractor to schedule the work on Lafayette as soon as possible. We hope everyone stays safe and when our businesses have the opportunity to re-open, our community will be stronger than ever. We will revisit this project in the future.
