[ARCHIVED] Changes to DPW Operations at the Transfer Station

important notice

As of April 4, 2020, there will be operational changes at the Transfer Station.

The Scale House Operators, temporarily, will no longer collect payments at the scale house.  Instead, an invoice will be provided indicating the amount due, the phone number to call for payment or the address where payments are to be mailed.  Our Scale House attendees will be wearing gloves and mask.

In addition, the Transfer Station staff will be maintaining 6 feet distance at all times from those coming to the Transfer Station. They will observe anyone coming in and out of the various disposal area for safety, however there will be no contact or assistance with disposal.
As we expect the lines to take a little longer, due to last weeks change to only allow two vehicles in the trash an recycling bay, the Transfer Station Traffic Control will no longer be standing adjacent to the cars in the line.  They will be standing away and observing the line using a ?Stop- Go- System? to advance vehicles into the appropriate disposal areas. Please pay attention and be patient.

Please, if you are feeling ill, experiencing symptoms, or have been around someone exposed to the Covid virus, please do not come to the Transfer Station.  We are working to keep the Transfer Station open, and need everyone to be safe - and stay healthy to do so!

If there are any question, please call the DPW main office at 603-926-3202.
