Assessing

The Assessor’s office is here to assist the public with inquiries into our public records relating to property record cards, tax maps, sales data, ownership information, abutter lists, and provide specialized reports and various other informational services.

Cemetery

The Town’s Cemeteries are supervised and controlled by the Office of the Town Manager, with day-to-day operations and oversight performed by two Cemetery Superintendents. The Town has one operating cemetery, located on High Street, which contains 26 acres. All work is subject to funding approved through Town Meeting or by use of reserve funds. Through the year 1901, all the cemetery records for the Town of Hampton have been published and are readily available at the Lane Memorial Library and on the library’s website.

Lane Memorial Library

The Lane Memorial Library offers a full range of services to meet the informational, educational, cultural, and recreational needs of the Hampton community within a renovated and expanded historic building that dates back to 1910.

The Legal Department provides cost-effective legal services to the Town through the Board of Selectmen, Town Manager, Department Heads, Town Officials, Boards and Commissions in the form of legal advice, opinions and document and contract review.

Public Works

The Department of Public Works is responsible for Highway, Sewer and Drain, Curbside Collection of Trash and Recycling, Transfer Station, Waste Water Treatment Plant, Vehicle Maintenance Operations. They are also responsible for Town wide infrastructure and roadway projects.

Town Manager

The Town Manager, appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Board of Selectmen, serves as Chief Executive for the Town. The Town Manager is responsible for the proper administration of all the departments of Town government
